Elisabete Jacinto was born in Montijo, Portugal in 1964.
She has a degree in Geography from the Faculty of Language and Literature, University of Lisbon and a post-graduation in Geography, within the Education pathway. She was a Geography teacher in 2002/2003.
She is all-terrain Pilot. She participated in many motorcycle rallies, namely, the National Championship cross-country, World Cup and in major marathons. She participated four times in Paris-Dakar Rally Moto. She participates in international all terrain truck rallies since 2003.
She is the author of school textbooks, adventure books and comics.
She has been member of the Executive Board of the Portuguese Olympic Committee between 2012 and 2016.
She is President of the Women and Sport Commission of the Olympic Committee of Portugal.
