Elizabeth Klerman

Dr. Klerman received her ScB from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her MD and PhD from Harvard University. She is a Physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Analytic and Modeling Unit (AMU) within the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders. Her efforts are concentrated in clinical and biomathematical research, teaching and clinical practice. Her areas of research are the application of circadian and sleep research principles to normal and pathophysiologic states and mathematical analysis, modeling, and simulations of biological systems of human circadian, sleep, and neurobehavioral mood and performance rhythms. Her teaching and mentoring work in patient-oriented research has been recognized with the awarding of a competitive renewal of her K24 mentoring grant support from NIH.
