Fátima Baptista is Associate Professor at the Faculdade de Motricidade Humana, Universidade de Lisboa teaching curricular units in undergraduate, master's and doctoral courses - Physical Fitness and Well-Being Evaluation; Exercise and Aging; Women and Exercise; Evaluation of Physical Activity and Sedentary Behavior.

Current research interests involve the study of physical activity/fitness phenotype of musculoskeletal health - how physical activity/exercise and fitness determines peak bone mass during growth and osteoporosis, sarcopenia, falls and loss of autonomy during aging.
