PhD Doctoral Programme on the Faculty of Medicine
Sara Gamboa Madeira is a Portuguese Family Physician who is currently developing a PhD Doctoral Programme on the Faculty of Medicine, regarding circadian misalignment, health outcomes and labour productivity among shift-workers.
Her professional interests have been particularly focused on health determinants such as tobacco smoke and physical activity.
She is the head of the smoking cessation consultation in a primary care unit in Sintra and she is also part of the task force for the National Program of Promotion of Physical Activity.
She was a professional swimmer from 1998 to 2008 participating in European and World Championships while developing her master’s degree in medicine.
